Managed KYC and CDD remediation

Give the backlog a scope and a deadline.

Use our team for a remediation project or recurring reviews. We agree the population, evidence requirements and escalation route before the first case.

01 · Customer onboarding

Get the evidence ready for approval.

We review identity documents, map ownership and control, and screen relevant parties under your approved policy. For non-resident customers and other specified risk factors, the scope includes the enhanced measures your policy requires.

02 · CDD remediation

Resolve the gaps keeping files open.

A nominee shareholder obscures control. A personal asset holding vehicle has an unexplained purpose. We identify the missing evidence, work the agreed remediation and keep outstanding requests and risk concerns visible for your team.

03 · Periodic reviews

Bring overdue KYC reviews up to date.

We review changes in the customer, structure and risk profile, refresh screening and assess the evidence held. We follow your risk-based schedule and handle separately scoped trigger-event reviews when new information needs attention.

Who we support in Guernsey

Start with your role in the relationship.

The checks depend on the service, customer and structure. We define the review around your firm’s obligations and approved policy.

Funds and administrators

Investor onboarding and reviews scoped to the scheme and the administrator’s role. We distinguish the nominated firm’s investor CDD responsibilities under Section 4.8 from a service provider’s own customer relationship.

Banks and investment businesses

Individual and corporate customer files for banks, brokerages and asset managers. We document expected activity, relevant connected parties and evidence gaps, with escalation for PEPs, sanctions concerns and other higher-risk factors.

Trust and corporate service providers

Reviews tailored to trusts, companies and Guernsey cell structures. We identify the relevant parties and roles, trace control and document the purpose of the arrangement, including personal asset holding and nominee connections.

GFSC AML/CFT/CPF · KYC outsourcing

Keep oversight of the work you outsource.

Chapter 2.5 of the GFSC Handbook keeps ultimate responsibility with the board. Before outsourcing, your firm must assess the potential ML, TF and PF exposure and record it in its business risk assessments.

We agree the checks, access to evidence and escalation routes with your team. Our handover shows what was reviewed, what remains unresolved and the basis for each conclusion.

Check the GFSC requirements

The GFSC Handbook on Countering Financial Crime sets out CDD and outsourcing requirements alongside guidance. Our Guernsey AML requirements guide covers Schedule 3, enhanced measures, review triggers and the responsibilities retained by your firm. AgentKYZ is not endorsed by the GFSC and does not provide legal advice.

What you receive

A file your approver can follow.

Each case connects the conclusion to the evidence. An unresolved document request stays visible at handover.

Included in the file

Identity and ownership evidence

An indexed record of the customer and relevant parties, with documents supporting the ownership chain, authority to act and control assessment.

Included in the file

Screening with a recorded disposition

Sanctions, PEP and adverse-media results, the reasoning behind reviewed matches and unresolved concerns for escalation.

Included in the file

Risk assessment and enhanced measures

The proposed rating and evidence for the checks performed, including source of funds and wealth where required. Missing evidence remains an open exception.

Included in the file

Human review and handover notes

Reviewer conclusions, the work completed and an exception log for your authorised team. Your approver can trace the findings back to the source records.

The process

Start with the case count and your deadline.

  1. 01 · Scope

    Define the population.

Tell us the entity type, number of files and target date. We agree the policy, deliverables, access and price before you send customer documents.

  2. 02 · Work & review

    We work each case.

Agents organise documents and run the first pass. Qualified compliance reviewers check the evidence and reasoning, then escalate unresolved concerns through the agreed route.

  3. 03 · Handover

    Your team decides.

Receive reviewed files and an exception log. Your authorised team makes acceptance, approval and reporting decisions. Recurring reviews follow the schedule you approve.

Already have an administrator doing KYC? Shadow KYC file testing can provide a separately scoped review. We agree independence and reporting arrangements first; file testing does not replace a programme-wide AML audit.

Scope your KYC backlog
What do your Guernsey KYC services cover?

Customer and investor onboarding, CDD remediation, periodic reviews and trigger-event reviews for Guernsey financial services firms. We agree the entity, policy, case population and required checks before starting. The engagement is operational file work; broader monitoring, governance or audit work needs its own scope.

Can you review non-resident investors, trusts and nominee structures?

Yes. We scope the work to the parties, structure and applicable checks under your approved policy. Guernsey’s enhanced-measures requirements can apply even where a relationship is not rated high risk. We record ownership and control, relevant source-of-funds and wealth evidence, and any questions requiring escalation.

How does managed KYC support our GFSC compliance work?

We perform agreed CDD checks under your policy and document the evidence, conclusions and exceptions so your firm can oversee each review. Chapter 2.5 of the GFSC Handbook keeps ultimate responsibility with the board. Your firm assesses the arrangement and retains evidence access, acceptance, approval and reporting decisions. Your MLRO, MLCO and any scheme nominated firm keep their appointed roles.

Is this reliance on an introducer under the GFSC Handbook?

No. We perform agreed file work under your policy. Introduced-business reliance under Chapter 10 has separate eligibility, certification, access and testing requirements. An operational KYC engagement does not establish that reliance arrangement.

Can you check files already held by our fund administrator?

Yes. Shadow KYC can be scoped separately to test files and report exceptions against your policy. We agree independence, access and reporting arrangements first. File testing supports oversight but is not a programme-wide AML audit or a guarantee of GFSC acceptance.

How much does Guernsey KYC remediation cost?

We quote per case based on the file population, structure complexity, evidence available and review scope. Send the case count and target date. We confirm price, delivery, responsibility for missing documents and data-handling terms in writing before you transfer customer files.
