Managed KYC and CDD remediation

Give the backlog a defined scope.

Engage us for a remediation project or recurring reviews. We agree the case population, evidence requirements and escalation route before work begins.

01 · Customer onboarding

Get the evidence ready for approval.

We review identity documents, trace beneficial ownership and screen relevant parties under your AML policy. Your team receives the proposed risk assessment, supporting evidence and unresolved questions before deciding whether to accept the customer.

02 · KYC remediation

Close the gaps keeping files open.

An investor file stops at a nominee. A source-of-wealth explanation has no evidence. We work through the agreed population, record what is missing and complete the checks available, with document requests and escalations tracked to handover.

03 · Periodic reviews

Work through overdue customer reviews.

We refresh CDD evidence and screening, document changes in ownership or activity and reassess risk. Reviews follow your risk-based schedule, with trigger-event work scoped separately when new information requires an earlier review.

Who we support in Ireland

Match the checks to the relationship.

A fund subscription and a payment account need different evidence. We define the review around the service you provide and the obligations your legal entity holds.

Irish funds and administrators

Investor onboarding and remediation for UCITS and AIF structures, including ICAVs. We agree whether the work is for the fund, its manager or its administrator, and distinguish each entity’s obligations and delegated tasks.

Investment firms and asset managers

Individual and corporate client reviews, including layered ownership and intermediary arrangements. We document the relationship being reviewed, who controls it and the evidence required under your risk methodology.

Banks and payment firms

Customer onboarding and CDD review backlogs. We scope file checks around the account or service, expected activity and customer risk. Transaction monitoring and payment-specific controls need their own agreed scope.

CBI AML/CFT · KYC outsourcing

Keep oversight of the work you delegate.

Irish AML law and the Central Bank’s financial-sector guidelines require your firm to understand its customers and oversee work carried out on its behalf. Appointing a provider leaves those responsibilities with your firm.

We agree whose policy governs each case, what evidence the reviewer needs and who receives exceptions. Your team retains customer acceptance, high-risk approvals and reporting decisions.

Read the AML guide

The Central Bank’s AML/CFT guidance explains its financial-sector expectations. Our Ireland AML requirements guide covers CDD, ongoing monitoring and the distinction between outsourcing and third-party reliance, with sources and a separate note on the EU AMLR transition.

What you receive

A file your approver can follow.

Each case records what we checked and the evidence behind the conclusion. An unresolved document request stays visible at handover.

Included in the file

Identity and beneficial ownership

An indexed evidence record, ownership and control analysis, and relevant register checks. Missing links remain visible for your approver.

Included in the file

Screening and enhanced due diligence

Reviewed sanctions, PEP and adverse-media results, with source of funds and wealth evidence where required and concerns routed for escalation.

Included in the file

Risk assessment and open actions

The proposed risk rating and its rationale, outstanding document requests and an owner for each action agreed with your team.

Included in the file

Review notes and decision trail

Human reviewer conclusions and an exception log, with records organised for your authorised team to approve, challenge or return for further work.

The process

Start with the case count and your deadline.

  1. 01 · Scope

    Define the population.

Tell us the entity type, number of files and target date. We agree the policy, deliverables, access and price before you send customer documents.

  2. 02 · Work & review

    We work each case.

Agents organise documents and run the first pass. Qualified compliance reviewers check the evidence and reasoning, then escalate unresolved or higher-risk cases.

  3. 03 · Handover

    Your team decides.

Receive reviewed files and an exception log. Your authorised team makes acceptance and escalation decisions. Recurring reviews follow the schedule you approve.

If an administrator already performs your KYC, Shadow KYC file testing can provide a separately scoped review. We agree independence and reporting arrangements before starting. File testing does not replace a programme-wide AML audit.

What do your Ireland KYC services cover?

Customer and investor onboarding, CDD remediation, and periodic or trigger-event reviews for Irish funds, administrators, investment firms, asset managers, banks and payment firms. We agree the entity, policy, case population and deliverables before starting. This page covers the Republic of Ireland; Northern Ireland has a different regulatory framework.

Can you help with Irish fund investor onboarding?

Yes. We review investor evidence and beneficial ownership under the policy agreed for the engagement, including nominee and layered company structures. We clarify the responsibilities of the fund, manager and administrator, and escalate missing evidence or arrangements that need further assessment.

How does managed KYC support our Irish AML/CFT obligations?

We complete agreed CDD work under your policy and provide human-reviewed evidence, risk assessments and exceptions for your compliance team. Documented findings help your firm oversee the work and make informed decisions. Your firm retains compliance responsibility, customer acceptance, senior management approvals and suspicious transaction reporting. Your appointed MLRO keeps that role; the service does not imply Central Bank approval.

Is managed KYC the same as third-party reliance under Irish law?

No. Section 40 of the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act 2010 sets conditions for reliance on eligible third parties. A managed KYC engagement performs agreed work on your behalf. It does not establish statutory reliance or transfer your obligations.

How do you handle Irish customer data?

Before file transfer, we agree access permissions, hosting and processing locations, retention, deletion and handover terms. Your firm should assess GDPR processor terms, subprocessors and any international transfer safeguards required for the arrangement. We confirm the agreed setup in writing; this page does not promise Ireland-only or EU-only processing.

How much does KYC outsourcing in Ireland cost?

We quote per case based on the file population, ownership complexity, available evidence and review scope. Share your case count and target date. We confirm the price, delivery schedule and responsibility for obtaining missing documents before you send customer records.
