KYC outsourcing and remediation

Put a scope and a deadline on the work.

Engage us for a defined backlog or recurring reviews. We agree the case population, evidence standards and escalation route before asking for customer documents.

01 · Customer onboarding

Get files ready for an acceptance decision.

We review identity evidence, ownership and control, and screening results under your approved procedures. For banks and broker-dealers, the scope can include CIP and CDD file work. Missing evidence stays visible for your approver.

02 · KYC remediation

Close the gaps keeping cases open.

A beneficial-owner record conflicts with the company documents. A screening match has no written disposition. We work the agreed population, document each gap and complete the checks needed under your policy, escalating what remains unresolved.

03 · Recurring reviews

Catch up on reviews and handle new triggers.

We refresh customer information, review screening and reassess risk on the schedule you approve. Changes in ownership, activity or relevant adverse information can trigger earlier work. We document the updates and escalate concerns to support your ongoing CDD procedures.

Who we support in the United States

The review follows your institution’s obligations.

A bank account and a private fund subscription need different scope decisions. We establish whose policy applies and which checks your team needs before working the files.

Banks

Customer onboarding and remediation under the bank’s BSA/AML procedures. We agree the CIP evidence, applicable beneficial-owner checks, risk profile and escalation path. Transaction monitoring and reporting remain separately assigned responsibilities.

Broker-dealers

Customer file reviews under the firm’s AML program and applicable FINRA requirements. We document evidence and exceptions for the designated AML compliance team. Managed KYC does not replace Rule 3310 independent program testing.

Fund managers and administrators

Investor onboarding, ownership reviews and remediation under the fund’s or adviser’s approved policy. We distinguish mutual funds from private funds and record whether each check follows current law, contract, another jurisdiction’s rules or preparation for the delayed adviser rule.

BSA/AML · FinCEN · OFAC

Keep the requirement behind each check visible.

Banks and broker-dealers have current BSA/AML duties. Fund and adviser reviews can also support contractual requirements, cross-border obligations and approved policies. We scope that work separately from preparation for FinCEN’s investment adviser AML rule, scheduled for January 1, 2028.

Beneficial-owner checks, OFAC screening and corporate BOI reporting also have different rules. We follow your approved procedures and send unresolved cases to your designated compliance team.

Read the US AML guide

Our US BSA/AML compliance guide explains the FinCEN CDD Rule and current relief, FINRA Rule 3310 and the delayed investment adviser requirements. Scope and effective dates should be checked before changing your procedures.

What you receive

A reviewed file with the open issues still visible.

Your approver can follow the evidence and see what remains unresolved. A missing document stays on the exception log until the agreed requirement is met or your authorized team records its decision.

Included in the file

Identity and ownership evidence

An indexed record of the customer, relevant owners and control person, with the basis for any applicable exclusion and links to the evidence reviewed.

Included in the file

Screening decisions and escalations

Sanctions, PEP and adverse-media results with the reviewer’s rationale for possible matches. Unresolved concerns go to your designated compliance team.

Included in the file

Risk assessment and missing information

A proposed risk rating under your methodology, supporting evidence and open document requests. Additional due diligence follows the risk and the agreed requirements.

Included in the file

Review notes and handover log

A record of the work and human review, with exceptions assigned for your team’s decision. We agree export, retention and access arrangements before the engagement starts.

The process

Start with your case count and target date.

  1. 01 · Scope

    Agree the work and price.

Share the entity type, file population and deadline. We confirm the policy, evidence standards, access arrangements, per-case price and delivery schedule in writing.

  2. 02 · Work & review

    We work each case.

Agents organize documents and perform the first pass. Qualified compliance reviewers check the evidence and reasoning, with missing information and higher-risk findings escalated under your procedure.

  3. 03 · Handover

    Your team makes the decision.

Receive reviewed files and a case-level exception log. Your authorized team handles acceptance and escalations. Any recurring reviews follow the scope and schedule you approve.

If an administrator already holds the files, Shadow KYC file testing can provide a separately scoped review. We assess independence before starting. File testing alone is not independent testing of the whole BSA/AML program.

Scope your KYC backlog
What do your US KYC services cover?

Managed customer or investor onboarding, CDD remediation and periodic or event-driven reviews for banks, broker-dealers, fund managers and administrators. We agree the entity, applicable requirements, approved policy and case population before starting. Agents perform the first pass and qualified compliance reviewers check each file.

Can you support investment advisers before the 2028 AML deadline?

Yes. We can work investor and client files under your approved policy and support a scoped readiness project. FinCEN delayed its investment adviser AML/CFT program and SAR rule to January 1, 2028. We distinguish preparation for that rule from current obligations, contractual checks and requirements that apply through another regulated activity or jurisdiction.

How does managed KYC support our BSA/AML compliance work?

We perform agreed CIP and CDD file work under your procedures, document ownership and screening conclusions, and escalate concerns to your compliance team. Human-reviewed files support your institution’s due diligence and oversight. Your institution retains compliance responsibility, customer acceptance, exception approvals, investigations and reporting decisions. The engagement does not automatically qualify as regulatory reliance on another financial institution.

Do you provide a complete US AML program or file SARs?

This service covers agreed KYC file work. It does not appoint us as your BSA or AML compliance officer, provide transaction monitoring, file SARs, make OFAC blocking decisions or replace independent AML program testing. We define the handoff to the teams responsible for those controls before work starts.

Can you test KYC files already held by our fund administrator?

We can scope a separate Shadow KYC review against your approved policy, with independence and reporting arrangements assessed before starting. File-level findings can support oversight and remediation. A file review does not by itself satisfy a requirement for independent testing of the whole AML program.

How much does a US KYC remediation project cost?

We quote per case based on the population, ownership complexity, available documents and review scope. Share the entity type, case count and target date. We confirm pricing, delivery, responsibility for missing evidence and data-handling terms in writing before you transfer customer files.
