Managed KYC and CDD remediation

Put a scope and a date on the backlog.

Engage us for a remediation project or recurring customer reviews. We agree the case population, evidence requirements and escalation route before work begins.

01 · Customer onboarding

Get customer files ready for a decision.

We review identity evidence, trace ownership and control, and screen the relevant parties. The checks reflect your customer, service and policy. Your approver receives the risk assessment, supporting documents and any questions still open.

02 · KYC remediation

Resolve the gaps holding files open.

An ownership chart stops at a holding company. A source-of-wealth statement has no supporting evidence. We review the agreed population, record each gap and work the remediation under your policy, with missing documents and escalations kept visible.

03 · Periodic reviews

Bring overdue CDD reviews up to date.

We refresh records and screening, reassess risk and document changes in ownership, control or expected activity. Recurring reviews follow your risk-based schedule; trigger events can bring a review forward.

Who we support in Jersey

The checks follow your business and your customer.

A fund subscription, a bank account and a trust relationship call for different evidence. We define the review around the service you provide and the obligations your firm holds.

Funds and administrators

Investor onboarding, subscription-related checks and periodic reviews. We distinguish the fund’s requirements from the administrator’s own obligations, including where it acts as the fund’s delegate.

Banks, brokerages and asset managers

Client onboarding and remediation of individual and corporate files. We document ownership, expected account or investment activity and evidence gaps under the firm’s risk methodology.

Trust and company service providers

CDD on trust and company structures, with checks tailored to the arrangement and parties involved. We record ownership and control, relevant roles and changes that need further review.

JFSC AML/CFT/CPF · KYC outsourcing

Outsource the file work. Keep oversight of each case.

The JFSC Handbook sets common CDD requirements alongside sector-specific provisions. Your firm’s role determines which checks it needs and what it must oversee when another party performs the work.

We agree whose policy governs each case, what evidence is required and who receives exceptions. Your firm keeps oversight of the work and its compliance responsibilities.

Check the JFSC requirements

Read the general sections of the JFSC AML/CFT/CPF Handbook with the material relevant to your business, including Section 12 for trust company service providers and Section 13 for fund and securities services. Our Jersey AML requirements guide explains CDD checks, review triggers and the difference between outsourcing and reliance.

What you receive

A file your approver can follow.

Each case records what we checked and the evidence behind the conclusion. An unresolved document request stays visible at handover.

Included in the file

Identity, ownership and control

An indexed record of the customer and relevant parties, with the evidence behind the ownership chain and control assessment.

Included in the file

Screening and escalation

Sanctions, PEP and adverse-media results, with a written rationale for reviewed matches and a record of unresolved concerns.

Included in the file

Risk assessment and evidence gaps

The proposed risk rating, source of funds and wealth evidence where required, and outstanding questions for your team.

Included in the file

Review notes and audit trail

A record of the work, the human reviewer’s conclusions and an exception log for your authorised approver.

The process

Start with the case count and your deadline.

  1. 01 · Scope

    Define the population.

Tell us the entity type, number of files and target date. We agree the policy, deliverables, access and price before you send customer documents.

  2. 02 · Work & review

    We work each case.

Agents organise documents and run the first pass. Qualified compliance reviewers check the evidence and reasoning, then escalate unresolved or higher-risk cases.

  3. 03 · Handover

    Your team decides.

Receive reviewed files and an exception log. Your authorised team makes acceptance and escalation decisions. Recurring reviews follow the schedule you approve.

If your administrator already performs KYC, Shadow KYC file testing can provide a separately scoped review. We agree independence and reporting arrangements before starting; a file review is not a programme-wide AML audit.

What do your Jersey KYC services cover?

Customer onboarding, CDD remediation and periodic or trigger-event reviews for Jersey funds, administrators, banks, brokerages, asset managers, and trust and company service providers. We agree the entity, applicable requirements, policy and case population before starting. The service supports Jersey in the Channel Islands.

Can you review trusts and layered company structures?

Yes. We map the structure, identify the parties relevant to your policy and document the evidence for ownership and control. We tailor checks to the service and arrangement, including trust and company service relationships and investors holding interests through trusts. Missing evidence or an unexplained structure is escalated for your team’s decision.

Does KYC outsourcing transfer our JFSC compliance responsibility?

No. Your firm retains its obligations and oversight of outsourced work. We perform the agreed file work and escalate exceptions. Your authorised team keeps customer acceptance, high-risk approvals and suspicious activity reporting decisions. Any applicable JFSC outsourcing conditions must be addressed before work starts.

Is this a Jersey AML service provider appointment?

No. This is operational KYC support, not an appointment as an anti-money laundering services provider under Article 9A of the Money Laundering (Jersey) Order 2008. It does not replace your MLCO, MLRO or an existing AMLSP appointment, and it is not statutory reliance on an obliged person.

Can you test files already held by our administrator?

Yes. We can scope a separate Shadow KYC review against your approved policy, assess independence and report file-level exceptions. That review can support oversight of the administrator. It does not replace a programme-wide independent AML audit or guarantee JFSC acceptance.

How much does a Jersey KYC remediation project cost?

We quote per case against the population, ownership complexity, available evidence and review scope. Share your case count and target date. We confirm pricing, delivery, responsibility for missing documents and data-handling terms in writing before file transfer.
